Mr. John H. Grant Jr.

John Hugh Grant Jr, (Jack to friends and family), of Nottingham, Maryland passed away on April 13, 2022 at 69 years old with his family by his side. Born to John Grant, Sr. and Beulah Grant on November 26, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland. He married Mary Regina Woods on August 7, 1983. They lived in Perry Hall Maryland. John is survived by his wife, Jeanie and his daughter, Angelica. Jack had a long-standing career as a lineman with Baltimore Gas and Electric. He was an accomplished marksman who loved being outdoors. He was well known to his neighbors for his long daily walks with his beloved dog, Ischa. One of his favorite pastimes was riding his motorcycle on a sunny day. Jack was a complex man of humble origins. He was quite private about many things but always quick to help out family members or friends in need. He was a man of deep faith and spirituality, even though he did not regularly attend services. He was not afraid to tell it like it is, sometimes in brutally honest fashion. His gruff exterior belied a heart of gold. He will be sorely missed by those who knew him best. ******************************************************************* On April 13, 2022 John H. Friends may call at the MITCHELL-WIEDEFELD FUNERAL HOME INC. on Monday, April 18th from 4-7 PM. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, April 19th at 11:00 AM at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
