Mrs. Mary Patricia Jones

On November 16, 2021 at the Oak Crest Village Care Center, Parkville, Md., Mary Patricia Jones, beloved wife of the late John R. Jones, devoted mother of Michael J Jones and his wife Anita, and Patricia Wooten and her husband Randy, and the late Steven M Jones (late wife Linda) and the late David S Jones, and his wife Jo (still living) She was the daughter of the late Stephen Paul Haviland, and the late Eleanor Kennedy Haviland McCarty. Beloved sister of Donald Haviland, Daniel Haviland, and Beverly Kilmon. Siblings who have died: Elizabeth Russell, Joan Somerville, Peggy Fisher, Terrance Haviland, Wayne Haviland, Robert Haviland. In addition to two children, Pat is survived by nine grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren, who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. After marriage in 1952, she worked part time in retail and jewelry sales. Pat dedicated most of her time and energy to her four children and their endeavors, and to a few close friends. Her passions were dachshunds, family, food, entertaining, and football. She was an avid Colts, then Ravens fan. She was a proud and stoic woman. She had quite the sense of humor and has instilled a little sass in all of us. She will be greatly missed but remembered with love and a smile. “When a mother dies, we lose a piece of who we are. We lose the person whose story provides the beginning of our own”. A private family funeral service and burial/interment, John O Mitchell IV Funeral Services, Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, was held on November 20, 2021.
