Ms. Mary Joanne Lohrey

May 14, 1951 - February 23, 2022

Mary “Joanne” Lohrey (née Casimo), 70, of Lutherville-Timonium, passed peacefully on February 23, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones and beautiful flowers. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Melissa Lohrey, siblings Michael Casimo and Deborah Hutchinson, and many amazing nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her beloved parents, Samuel and Josephine Casimo of Aberdeen, Maryland, and her beloved siblings Patricia Gilland, Anthony Casimo, and Joseph Casimo. Joanne worked for the Baltimore County Public School System and was known for her kind spirit and wonderful sense of humor. She loved classical music, especially Antonín Dvořák, Jacqueline du Pré, and Yo-Yo Ma; impressionist art by Claude Monet and Gustav Klimt; literature of all genres; watching The Office, The Big Bang Theory, and The Masked Singer; and spending time in nature. Most of all, she loved and was loved dearly by her friends and close family. A private memorial mass to honor Joanne will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joanne’s name can be made to the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra or the Nature Conservancy.
