Mr. Mark Fedner

Mark Fedner passed away the morning of June 20, 2023 in Santorini, Greece while traveling with his family. The man always had a sense of style and pizzazz to him and we couldn’t have found a more fitting place for his final days. Mark was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid golfer and in his younger years he loved to ski. He joked he picked up two of the most expensive hobbies. He would spend hours each morning working on his crossword puzzles and loved trivia. He had a wealth of knowledge and loved art and history. In his final days he was constantly asking questions and wanting to learn more about the beautiful art and architecture we saw throughout Rome and Athens. He was very eager to teach his grandsons more about history though they were not quite yet interested. He had a career that spanned over forty years in software sales working with various tech companies like IBM, Digital, GTSI, Compaq and more. While he was an excellent salesman his computer skills were lacking. Mark was a character with many quirks. He was a great dancer and loved to draw. He had a sharp sense of humor and a quick wit to him. He could make anyone laugh with his impressions and antics. He was born and raised in Baltimore and his love for his hometown sports always showed. You could find him cheering for the Ravens or the Orioles from the comfort of his couch. If you were very lucky you might have been the recipient of one of his classic tours of Baltimore. He was always so convincing that you never knew if what he was saying was true or not. He was happily married to his wife, Esther, for over forty-five years until she passed away in 2020. Within a few years of their marriage she was diagnosed with Scleroderma. He stood by her side and helped her through it all in sickness and in health. They brought out the best in each other and taught their children that love and laughter are the keys to a successful marriage. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Esther; his loving parents Isadore and Ella; and his brother Lee. He is survived by his cherished children, Jeffrey (Shawn) and Jennifer Turner (Justin), grandchildren Grayson and Jett; sister-in-law Catherine Fedner and nephews Michael (Skyla, great-niece Makaia) and Joshua Fedner. Please join us as we celebrate his life and legacy at Mitchell-Wiedefeld Funeral Home in Towson, Maryland from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, July 11. A graveside service will follow on Wednesday, July 12 at 10 am at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
