Can I put my plans in place without pre-paying?
Certainly. There are advantages to pre-paying, such as locking in the funeral home's prices and spending down to receive medical assistance, but you can put as much or as little of your plans on file with us as you prefer.

If I pre-pay, do I have to go through the process of opening a life insurance policy with you, the funeral home?
Customarily, we do use a life insurance policy to fund your funeral pre-payment. However, there is no health questionnaire or physical exam required. If you pre-pay for your funeral expenses in one lump sum, you can be any age and in any state of health.

What if I pre-pay with Mitchell-Wiedefeld and you go out of business?
The funeral pre-payment life insurance policy that we open with you can be claimed by any funeral home. And while another funeral home would not have to honor the guarantees that were made with Mitchell-Wiedefeld, the money that you paid plus interest gained would be there to pay towards your funeral services with that other funeral home.
