Mary Elizabeth Law

Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Law (née Lewis), age 88, of Towson, Maryland, passed away peacefully at Pickersgill Retirement Community on June 16, 2026. Born in Baltimore on January 4, 1938, Liz attended Notre Dame of Maryland for grades 1–12. She later earned an Associate Degree in Medical Secretary Studies from Villa Julie College (now Stevenson University). On July 12, 1958, she married the love of her life, William R. Law, M.D. Liz and Bill made their first home in Rodgers Forge, where they began their family, before moving to West Towson, where they raised their three children. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Liz dedicated her life to those she loved. Her greatest joy was her family, and she took immense pride in supporting her children through every stage of life. She later extended that same love, encouragement, and devotion to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Blessed with an exceptionally positive attitude, she made it a point to get out of the house every day and truly lived life to the fullest. An avid golfer, she took pleasure in beautiful days on the course and treasured the time she spent with her friends and fellow golfers at her second home, The Country Club of Maryland. She took great joy in hosting family and friends, especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas, creating memorable holiday gatherings filled with warmth, laughter, and lasting memories. A passionate Baltimore sports fan, Liz faithfully cheered on the Colts, later the Ravens, and, of course, her cherished Orioles. She adored family vacations and rarely missed an opportunity to attend her children’s, grandchildren’s, and great-grandchildren’s performances, special occasions, and sporting events. Throughout her life, she cultivated deep and lasting friendships that meant so much to her. Liz will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, unwavering devotion to family, and remarkable ability to make every gathering feel special. Her warmth, laughter, and love of bringing people together will live on in every holiday celebration, family gathering, and precious memory she inspired. She is survived by her children, Tad Law (Ann), Norene Cusick (Danny), and Liz Meredith (Barry); her seven grandchildren, Kiki Perrini (Chris), Will Law, Meg Friant (Eric), Jim Cusick (Sydney), Tom Cusick (Meredith), Mattie Meredith (David), and Charlotte Howe (Bryan); her fourteen beloved great-grandchildren, who brought her tremendous pride and joy; and her loving nieces and nephew. Liz was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William R. Law, M.D.; her parents, Norene Kinney Lewis and Dean DeWitt Lewis, M.D.; her sister, Julianne Connolly; and her brother, Dean Lewis. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Nativity, 20 Ridge Road, Timonium, Maryland. Interment will be private. Contributions in memory of Liz may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Martin's Home, 601 Maiden Choice Lane, Baltimore, Maryland 21228, in appreciation for their compassionate care and dedication to the elderly.
